Curling your eyelashes is the easiest, simplest way to naturally open up your eye and make your lashes appear longer. It really pays to invest in a great quality eyelash curler as it will last forever! The Shu Uemura is widely recommended by makeup artists. It is at the higher end of the market in terms of cost but we think it pays to get a higher quality product that you know will last and perform well. Even if you don’t want to wear much makeup during the day curling your lashes and adding some BB cream will give you a super quick all natural beauty look! $19.80 NZD (Amazon)

7. EYELASH ENHANCER:
There are so many eyelash enhancers that claim to do amazing things to your eyelashes. Unfortunately, although many of them do in fact work at growing longer eyelashes they also contain toxic chemicals that could potentially damage your eye area and you cannot be 100% sure of the safety of these products. Lashfood claims to be a natural product that can help to nourish and condition your eyelashes along with help with growth! $79.99 NZD (Amazon) Castor oil is also supposed to be good cost effective way to condition and grow eyelashes. Here is a great natural recipe from Michelle Phan.

8. MASCARA:
Conventional mascara is one of the biggest toxin-laden beauty products that you can own and the chemicals it contains should not be anywhere near your body – let alone your eye area. This water resistant mascara by Ecco Bella has great reviews and is based on clay and iron oxides. It is also free of anything nasty and has great ratings on EWG Skin Deep cosmetics database. Perfect for women with sensitive eyes! The packaging even comes with its own built in mirror which we love. $17.08 NZD (Amazon)
