Thanks for stopping by! Who am I?

Hello, my name is Bethany (you can call me Beth!). I started Everyday Young around six years ago to share my avid health learnings after spending more than a decade detoxing my body and transforming my health.

I now eat a predominantly plant-based diet and have realised that gluten does not agree with my body. Eating this way has allowed me to have the most energy and vibrance I have ever felt when I was perhaps much younger.

When did my journey to wellness begin?

When I was eighteen, I picked up a book called ‘The Mood Cure’ which changed my life. This was the first time that I connected how you feel, how much energy you have and how happy you are with what you are putting into your body and what you are feeding your gut and ultimately your brain.

Since then, I have read many books on all facets of wellness and have a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the health of our bodies. In the last few years, I have become like a sponge for anything longevity, life extension and holistic health-related.

I believe that we can greatly delay the common diseases of ageing by being super mindful of what we eat, what chemicals we expose ourselves to, how much time we spend in nature, and how we deal with stress and keep our nervous system regulated.

I have been learning more lately about how our thoughts and mind connect to our bodies functioning and health. How we think is of equal importance to what we are eating and how often we are moving!

Why am I so passionate about conscious wellness?

I know what it’s like to feel terrible every day. My body is super sensitive to everything, and it has taken me years to figure out what is good for me and what isn’t. I have reacted badly to normal everyday things that other people have no problem with.

In my twenties, I had time stretches where I was forced to spend entire weekends in bed. My health is something I would never, ever take for granted. I feel so lucky each day to wake up feeling good, with energy and feeling optimistic about life. I want that for everyone.

How can I help you?

Something that I am passionate about is creating simple wellness practices. Things that you do each day that might not take much time or money to complete but have a compounding impact.

Each day is a new opportunity to start afresh and create something new. Everyday Young aims to highlight new ways to keep your body well, beautiful practices of wellness that are simple and can often be done in your own home or added into a busy life.

On top of all my learnings discovered through researching and writing for Everyday Young, I have just finished working through a life coach certification.

I am hugely multi-passionate and am interested in a bit of everything! I hold multiple design qualifications, and a Bachelor of Business; papers studied include nutrition, woman’s studies, and environmental business. I love psychology and learning about the brain, mindset, and subconscious mind. Lately, I have been learning a bit more about what is currently known as manifestation. How the thoughts that you think can show up physically in your reality.

For the past few years, I worked for a plant-based supplement company and gained further knowledge into nutrition and what vitamins can be helpful for various ailments or simply to supercharge your life and get much more out of your day!
